At Uber, we’re committed to supporting our partners by providing them the feedback needed to improve their star ratings.  In recent driver surveys, rider feedback was the #1 item drivers requested from us, and we listened! In the past week, we received the below feedback from your riders.

What does Negative Comments About Uber mean?

While we are more than happy to offer our partners the ability to drive on multiple platforms, please respect Uber while online with Uber. It is important that riders understand that when they request an Uber, they're going to get picked up by an Uber partner and will not be exposed to branding that is confusing or misleading. It's also important that riders know they will not be requesting an Uber only for their driver to talk negatively about Uber (the app they're currently using). It not only reflects poorly upon the brand, but it also reflects poorly upon the partner and usually leads to a low rating from the rider.

What does this mean?

  • You should not speak negatively of Uber, the platform you are partnering with and the app your rider uses
  • You should not be online with a competitor app while on a trip with an Uber rider
  • While driving with Uber, any competitor-branding - both interior and exterior - should not be visible to riders

This will ensure that riders are given the best user experience!

 

If we continue to receive negative feedback from riders that impacts your rating, your account will be reviewed and may be deactivated.

Note: we expect some negative feedback over time for all our partners as this is the nature of the business! If you believe you received this complaint unfairly, please don’t worry, we’ll only take action if we see a pattern of undesirable behavior.
