Copy Uber is Committed to Safety
Hard-working drivers are the key to the success of the Uber platform. That’s why making sure drivers feel respected and protected is a high priority for us. Check out our Code Of Conduct if you're interested in learning more.
Cashless Transaction Protect You From Risk
Fares are charged automatically to the rider’s credit card – so drivers never have to deal with the risk or hassle of carrying cash and making change.
Drivers Rate Riders to Give You Control
Driver feedback counts, too. We’re not OK with any rider behavior that makes drivers concerned for their safety or the safety of their vehicles. Riders who are reported to be abusive toward drivers or violate our terms of service will lose access to the system.
No Random Pick-Ups, So You Feel At Ease
Before riding with Uber, customers are required to create an account with their personal and payment information — and rides can only be requested through the app, so there’s a detailed record of every customer and every trip.
The best way to handle an accident is to be prepared ahead of time. To help, we’ve complied a checklist of suggested tips.
Uber and Uber users are proud to play a part in reducing the number of drunk driving accidents in cities we’ve entered. However, with alcohol comes unexpected behaviors that can be challenging for even the most seasoned partner-driver to manage. Check out the Intoxicated Rider Guide to help you address a situation where the rider may have had too much to drink.
If at any time you feel that you are faced with a situation that requires immediate emergency attention, please call the emergency service number in your area. Once all parties are safe and the situation has been handled by the authorities, please then notify Uber. We will assist and take appropriate action as needed, including cooperating with law enforcement.
